Isotherms, kinetics and thermodynamics of pb(ii) adsorption by crosslinked chitosan/sepiolite composite

Dilek Senol-Arslan

Summary: A novel composite adsorbent of Ch-S was prepared for Pb(II) removal, showing that Langmuir isotherm model was the best fit and pseudo-first order kinetics was the most suitable for describing the adsorption process onto Ch-S. The thermodynamic parameters indicated that the adsorption of Pb(II) on Ch-S was endothermic, possible and spontaneous.
