This paper investigates a (2+1)-dimensional generalized Bogoyavlensky-Konopelchenko equation in fluid mechanics and plasma physics, obtaining Lie point symmetry generators, Lie symmetry group, and symmetry reductions through the Lie group method. Hyperbolic-function, power-series, trigonometric-function, soliton, and rational solutions are derived using power-series expansion, polynomial expansion, and (G'/G) expansion methods.
Under investigation in this paper is a (2+1)-dimensional generalized Bogoyavlensky-Konopelchenko equation in fluid mechanics and plasma physics. We obtain the Lie point symmetry generators, Lie symmetry group and symmetry reductions via the Lie group method. Hyperbolic-function, power-series, trigonometric-function, soliton and rational solutions are derived via the power-series expansion, polynomial expansion and (G'/G) expansion method.
