A triple-drug treatment regimen to accelerate elimination of lymphatic filariasis: From conception to delivery

Gary J. Weil et al.

Summary: The Global Programme to Eliminate Lymphatic Filariasis uses mass drug administration to treat filarial infections, prevent disease, and interrupt transmission. A recent clinical trial showed that a triple-drug combination is more effective than two-drug combinations in clearing larval filarial parasites, with the potential to speed up LF elimination in endemic countries.
