A facile way to synthesize a photocrosslinkable methacrylated chitosan hydrogel for biomedical applications

Saeed Samani et al.

Summary: A novel method for synthesizing photocrosslinkable chitosan hydrogel was introduced in this study. Methacrylated chitosan obtained under controlled conditions and using EDC/NHS showed significant coupling efficiency and gel formation capacity, with interconnected pores and swelling ratios, providing new aspects for developing novel biomaterials in cell-based therapies.
