Maximum smoke temperature in the longitudinally ventilated tunnel fire: Influence of the separating distance between two sources

Summary: This study examines the maximum smoke temperature in tunnel fires with two fire sources through experiments and theoretical analysis. The results suggest that the maximum temperature at the upstream fire source is strongly influenced by the downstream fire source when the distance between the sources is small, but this influence weakens as the distance increases. An exponential factor was proposed to correct the maximum smoke temperature, and the predicted results align well with experimental findings.
