A mild oxidation condition for preparing benzyl aldehydes or ketones has been developed with bromotrichloromethane as the photochemical oxidant, induced by visible light. This method only requires visible light as the green driving force, avoiding high temperature, pressure, and peroxidation.
Induced by visible light, mild oxidation condition to prepare benzyl aldehydes or ketones have been developed by using bromotrichloromethane as photochemical oxidant.
