D. Brock Hewitt et al.

Summary: In this study, 7464 general surgery residents in the US were surveyed to assess their grit levels and its association with burnout, attrition thoughts, and suicidal thoughts. The results showed that higher grit scores were linked to lower rates of burnout and thoughts of attrition and suicide, indicating the importance of grit in promoting resident wellness.
