Impact analysis of traffic loading on pavement performance using support vector regression model

Jingnan Zhao et al.

Summary: This study aims to analyze the impact of traffic loading on pavement performance using traditional regression models and machine learning methods. The use of support vector regression (SVR) method significantly increases prediction accuracy, and incorporating characteristics such as axle number and fitted Gaussian distribution of axle load spectra further improves model accuracy.

Mechanistic-empirical analysis of asphalt pavement fatigue cracking under vehicular dynamic loads

Jingnan Zhao et al.

Summary: The study found that dynamic load coefficients increase as pavement roughness increases or axle loads decrease. The impulse response method was used to calculate tensile strains of the asphalt layer under random loads, and an accumulative fatigue damage ratio was proposed for M-E pavement analysis.

Comparison Analysis of Airfield Pavement Life Estimated from Different Pavement Condition Indexes

Lukai Guo et al.

Summary: This study investigated the consistency of three pavement condition indexes and their impact on estimating airfield pavement service life. Results showed that PCC surfaced pavement sections generally have longer service life than AC surfaced sections, with apron sections having the shortest service life. The study findings suggest that using PCI, SCI, and FOD together in an airfield pavement management system for M&R planning may offer unique advantages.
