Patterns of Use and Discontinuation of Secondary Prevention Medications After Stroke

Lachlan L. Dalli et al.

Summary: This study found that many patients discontinue medication within one year post-discharge after stroke or TIA. Prescription at hospital discharge, quarterly contact with a primary care physician, and prescription by a specialist physician were inversely associated with discontinuation of antihypertensive medication.
