Anti-Inflammatory Effects of Exercise on Metabolic Syndrome Patients: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Heidar Alizaei Yousefabadi et al.

Summary: This study found that exercise training has a positive impact on inflammatory status in MetS patients, particularly in decreasing TNF-alpha, CRP, IL-8, and increasing IL-10 levels. Isolated aerobic exercise and combined aerobic and resistance exercise appear to be optimal for improving inflammatory markers in this population. Further research is needed to understand the mechanisms underlying exercise training's effects on inflammatory markers in patients with MetS. More studies are required to confirm these findings.

Effect of physical activity promotion on adiponectin, leptin and other inflammatory markers in prediabetes: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials

Radhika Aditya Jadhav et al.

Summary: The systematic review and meta-analysis showed that physical activity promotion with or without dietary or lifestyle modification can reduce levels of leptin and interleukin-6 in individuals with prediabetes. However, the impact on adiponectin, C-reactive protein, and tumor necrosis factor-alpha remains uncertain.
