The conserved sex regulator DMRT1 recruits SOX9 in sexual cell fate reprogramming

Summary: The study highlighted the importance of the sex regulator DMRT1 and the maintenance of cell fate in sexual development, showing that DMRT1 can reprogram female granulosa cells into Sertoli-like cells in vivo and in culture. These findings reveal the key roles of chromatin state, gene expression, and different growth factors in the process of sexual cell differentiation.
