The standardized method and clinical experience may improve the reliability of visually assessed capillary refill time

Koichiro Shinozaki et al.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the reliability of Capillary Refill Time (CRT) and found that using a standardized method and clinical experience can improve its reliability. The research revealed a strong correlation between standardized visual CRT and image CRT, while CRT without instruments showed no correlation with image CRT. Additionally, video CRT performed by more experienced clinicians showed higher intra-observer reliability and correlation coefficient with image CRT.
