The T-PEPS is capable of detecting human movements and can be scaled up for applications in wearable sensor platforms and self-powered devices.

Temperature-induced changes in whispering gallery modes were detected with a sensitivity of 0.04nm/°C in micro-spheres of diameter 10.5 μm, indicating the potential for cost-effective and bio-compatible miniature temperature sensors operating in the visible spectral range.

The ZnO:Al(3%) sample exhibited the best response and recovery time for ammonia detection, showing stable sensing ability over multiple cycles.

Growth dynamics of mist-CVD grown ZnO nanoplatelets

Summary: In this study, ZnO nanoplatelets were grown on the SiO2 layer using the mist-CVD growth method at different temperatures. The grown ZnO NPs exhibited preferred growth directions and a possible beta phase structure was observed for the first time using mist-CVD. The higher growth temperature was found to decrease the growth rate of ZnO NPs, indicating the occurrence of the Leidenfrost effect. Additionally, characteristic vibration modes related to wurtzite ZnO were observed using confocal Raman spectroscopy measurement.

Optimization and characterization of SILAR synthesized ZnO nanorods for UV photodetector sensor
