Molecular profiles of naphthenic acid fraction compounds from mine lease wetlands in the Athabasca Oil Sands Region

Summary: Variations in concentrations and distribution of NAFCs were observed in wetlands on an Athabasca oil sands mine site with different histories of OSPM input, with tailings ponds showing different dominant species compared to reference wetlands. Evidence of NAFC persistence in some wetlands was found, with preliminary signs of oxidation in mature wetlands.
