Charge radii of the nucleon from its flavor dependent Dirac form factors

H. Atac et al.

Summary: The study determined the proton and neutron charge radii through a global analysis of their elastic form factors and flavor decomposition under charge symmetry in the light cone frame. The method used is model-independent and considers motion effects for data at high momentum transfer. The results show an improvement in precision for the proton charge radius extraction and provide a new method for extracting the neutron charge radius.

Measurement of the neutron charge radius and the role of its constituents

H. Atac et al.

Summary: The neutron, despite its zero-net electric charge, has a negative squared charge radius due to the asymmetric distribution of quarks. The precise measurement of its charge radius is crucial in understanding its structure. This study presents a new method for determining the charge radius of the neutron based on values of neutron electric form factors.

Pendellosung interferometry probes the neutron charge radius, lattice dynamics, and fifth forces

Benjamin Heacock et al.

Summary: This study utilized neutron interferometry to measure the structure factors of silicon, improving the precision of measurements for the Debye-Waller factor and neutron charge radius. Additionally, the measured structure factors significantly enhance constraints on the strength of a Yukawa modification to gravity.
