Feasibility of Grid-connected Solar-wind Hybrid System with Electric Vehicle Charging Station

Summary: This paper introduces a grid-connected solar-wind hybrid system for a small shopping complex in a university campus in India, including an EV charging station. An economic analysis shows that the setup is cost-effective and reliable in satisfying the charging demand of EVs and the electrical load demand of the shopping complex. Through optimization techniques, the system achieves a low levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) and minimized loss of power supply probability (LPSP).
