This study focused on measuring and calculating fluorescence and shielding parameters to reveal the importance of superconducting materials in radiation systems, as well as the crucial role protective materials play in shielding living organisms.
Determining the fluorescence and shielding parameters, which are important to reveal the radioactivity risks of today's industrial world. It is crucial to design secure and efficient shielding structures for superconducting materials that have been used in the cryogenic technology and radiation systems. In order to protect living organisms, the properties of the protective material used in the system are crucial. In this study, the K-shell production cross-sections and the intensity ratios were measured and calculated by excited the samples in terms of Titanium with 241-Amercium at 59.5 keV by using Ultra-Low Germanium detector. Besides, the mass and linear attenuation coefficients and Half Value Layer, Tenth Value Layer and Mean Free Path, Effective Atomic Number Values were determined by using Gamma Rays from Hyper Germanium Detector with 241-Americium at 59.5 keV and 135Cs at 662 keV for powder and superconducting bulk samples. The results showed that the fluorescence parameters for titanium increased with the silver doped ratio and it is clarified that the sintering process changed the values for the powder and the sintered superconducting bulks. The attenuation parameters for two energies at 59.5 keV and 662 keV are observed good agreement with the calculated data in the calculation software Phy-X/PSD values.
