Asymmetric nuclear matter and realistic potentials

Summary: In this study, the equation of state for asymmetric nuclear matter is investigated using the Brueckner-Hartree-Fock approach with high-quality soft nucleon-nucleon potentials. The results show that the models are able to reproduce the empirical symmetry energy and its slope parameter at the empirical saturation density, and are in good agreement with experimental data from heavy nucleus collisions.
