High-Electric-Field-Induced Hierarchical Structure Change of Poly(vinylidene fluoride) as Studied by the Simultaneous Time-Resolved WAXD/SAXS/FTIR Measurements and Computer Simulations

Kohji Tashiro et al.

Summary: The study showed that under high electric fields, the inversion of CF2 dipole moments in poly(vinylidene fluoride) films occurs, while WAXD peaks exhibit remarkable and periodic intensity changes at specific electric field strengths.

Facilitated phase transformation of PVDF in its composite with an ionic liquid

Huan Zhou et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates that the use of imidazole ionic liquid in composites greatly improves the phase transition ability of PVDF, leading to enhanced phase transition efficiency. During the phase transition, the transformed lamellar morphology depends on the crystallization temperature, while the phase transition efficiency is mainly influenced by the annealing temperature.
