The curing behavior of addition curing polymer CN-PcP, containing [2.2]paracyclophane and phthalonitrile, was studied. Results showed that the carbon radical from [2.2]paracyclophane at high temperature could effectively promote the curing reaction of phthalonitrile, resulting in a cured resin with high glass transition temperature and outstanding thermal properties. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) were performed to evaluate the thermal properties of the cured resin.
The addition curing polymer (CN-PcP) containing [2.2]paracyclophane and phthalonitrile was prepared. The results indicated that carbon radical resulting from [2.2]paracyclophane at high temperature could effectively promote the curing reaction of phthalonitrile. The curing behaviors of CN-PcP were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and rheological analysis. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) revealed that the cured resin of CN-PcP showed high glass transition temperature and outstanding thermal properties.
