Resilient modulus and influencing factors of vertical vibration compacted cement-stabilized macadam

Changqing Deng et al.

Summary: This study investigated the resilient modulus of vertical vibration compacted cement-stabilized macadam and verified the reliability of the vertical vibration compaction method. The influences of factors on the resilient modulus were studied and a prediction equation was proposed. Results showed that cement dosage and gradation significantly affect the initial and ultimate resilient moduli of the cement-stabilized macadam.

Multiscale Analysis of the Strength Deterioration of Loess under the Action of Drying and Wetting Cycles

Yang Bai et al.

Summary: The study found that the strength of loess decreases with an increasing number of dry-wet cycles and cycle amplitudes, transitioning from surface-to-surface contacts to point-to-point or point-to-surface contacts. Multiscale analysis revealed that the structure of loess is degraded and the strength stabilizes after 3 cycles.
