Recent advances in nano-enabled agriculture for improving plant performance

Honghong Wu et al.

Summary: Nano-enabled agriculture is an emerging field that focuses on the application of nanotechnology in agricultural production. This review discusses various topics in plant nanobiotechnology for agriculture, including improving stress tolerance, stress sensing and early detection, targeted delivery of agrochemicals, transgenic events in non-model crop species, and seed nanopriming. The review also highlights the use of nanomaterials to enhance photosynthetic performance and maintain plant photosynthesis under light-insufficient conditions. The aim of this review is to provide researchers with valuable insights into the use of plant nanobiotechnology for improving agricultural production.

Response of phytohormone mediated plant homeodomain (PHD) family to abiotic stress in upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum spp.)

Huanhuan Wu et al.

Summary: The study identified 108, 55, and 52 PHD genes in G. hirsutum, G. raimondii, and G. arboreum, respectively. Analysis of 297 PHD genes revealed that GhPHD genes are unevenly distributed on chromosomes and some of them respond well to abiotic and phytohormonal stresses. This study provides valuable information for further research on the important roles of the GhPHD gene family in plant growth and development.
