Response of phytohormone mediated plant homeodomain (PHD) family to abiotic stress in upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum spp.)

Huanhuan Wu et al.

Summary: The study identified 108, 55, and 52 PHD genes in G. hirsutum, G. raimondii, and G. arboreum, respectively. Analysis of 297 PHD genes revealed that GhPHD genes are unevenly distributed on chromosomes and some of them respond well to abiotic and phytohormonal stresses. This study provides valuable information for further research on the important roles of the GhPHD gene family in plant growth and development.

Genome-wide analysis of poplar HD-Zip family and over-expression of PsnHDZ63 confers salt tolerance in transgenic Populus simonii x P.nigra

Qing Guo et al.

Summary: This study identified and classified 63 poplar HD-Zip transcription factors, and found the important role of PsnHDZ63 in plant salt tolerance through expression pattern analysis under salt stress. The phylogenetic relationships among these members and the collinear evolutionary relationships were revealed based on gene structure analysis.

The apple C2H2-type zinc finger transcription factor MdZAT10 positively regulates JA-induced leaf senescence by interacting with MdBT2

Kuo Yang et al.

Summary: MdZAT10 accelerates leaf senescence in apple by interacting with MdABI5, enhancing its transcriptional activity for MdNYC1 and MdNYE1. Additionally, MdZAT10 expression is induced by MeJA and its protein stability is regulated by the JA-responsive protein MdBT2, delaying senescence mediated by MdZAT10.
