Effect of zitterbewegung on the propagation of wave packets in ABC-stacked multilayer graphene: an analytical and computational approach

Summary: The time evolution of a low-energy two-dimensional Gaussian wave packet in ABC-stacked n-layer graphene is studied. The results show that the zitterbewegung motion of wave packets in graphene depends not only on the wave packet width and initial pseudospin polarization, but also on the number of layers. The proposed analytical and numerical methods allow for the investigation of wave packet dynamics in graphene systems with arbitrary number of layers and potential landscapes.
