Heavy Thermal Dark Matter from a New Collision Mechanism

Eric David Kramer et al.

Summary: This study proposes a new mechanism for dark matter formation which allows for dark matter masses exceeding the unitarity bound by many orders of magnitude. This mechanism is demonstrated in a specific dark matter model, enabling dark matter masses up to 10^9 GeV.

Updated constraints on decaying cold dark matter

Andreas Nygaard et al.

Summary: This study updates constraints on the simple decaying cold dark matter model with dark radiation, using the latest CMB data to infer new constraints in both short-lived and long-lived regimes. The model's impact on Hubble and sigma 8 tensions is investigated, showing that each decay regime can slightly alleviate a different tension, but not both simultaneously. The study also derives a mapping between short-lived DCDM and a correction to the effective number of massless neutrino species.

Exoplanets as Sub-GeV Dark Matter Detectors

Rebecca K. Leane et al.

Summary: Exoplanets are presented as new targets for discovering dark matter. Through estimating the sensitivity of upcoming infrared telescopes, actionable searches for discovering or excluding dark matter are found. Dark matter with masses above about an MeV can be probed with exoplanets, with scattering cross sections stronger than existing limits.

Celestial-body focused dark matter annihilation throughout the Galaxy

Rebecca K. Leane et al.

Summary: This passage discusses a new scenario in which celestial bodies can enhance the efficiency of dark matter annihilation events, leading to distinctive annihilation signals. By analyzing data from Fermi and H.E.S.S., new constraints on the dark matter-nucleon scattering cross section for different mass scales of dark matter can be set.
