The synthesis of Silicalite-1 nanocrystals and zeolite beta microcrystals, as well as their composites, involved depositing Silicalite-1 nanocrystals on zeolite beta crystals with subsequent hydrothermal treatment. Characterization of the materials showed that coating zeolite beta with an inert Silicalite-1 shell resulted in decreased microporosity and total acidity, as well as the disappearance of strong acid sites.
Silicalite-1 nanocrystals and zeolite beta microcrystals, as well as their composites were synthesized by the deposition of silicalite-1 nanocrystals on zeolite beta crystals with the subsequent hydrothermal treatment for final shell crystallization. The obtained materials were characterized by a set of physicochemical methods. The coating of zeolite beta with an inert silicalite-1 shell leads to a decrease of microporosity and total acidity, as well as a disappearance of strong acid sites.
