Bandwidth extension and conversion efficiency improvements beyond phase matching limitations using cavity-enhanced OPCPA

Summary: This paper introduces a new method of optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification, C-OPCPA, which achieves close-to-optimal operation, increased gain bandwidth, and conversion efficiency through the use of an enhancement cavity. Experimental results demonstrate that C-OPCPA can achieve over 50% conversion efficiency into signal and idler in an optical parametric process.
