Association between admission temperature and mortality and major morbidity in very low birth weight neonates - single center prospective observational study

Summary: This study investigated the distribution of admission temperature among preterm neonates and found that hypothermia was a common problem. Low temperature in the delivery room was identified as the most important contributor to hypothermia. Low admission temperature was significantly associated with adverse neonatal outcomes.
