NORMATIVE REFERENCE VALUES FOR HANDGRIP STRENGTH IN CHILEAN CHILDREN AT 8-12 YEARS OLD USING THE EMPIRICAL DISTRIBUTION AND THE LAMBDA, MU, AND SIGMA STATISTICAL METHODS

Antonio Garcia-Hermoso et al.

Summary: The aim of the study was to provide sex- and age-specific handgrip reference standards for Chilean children aged 8-12 years and to compare their handgrip strength levels with children from other countries. The results showed that Chilean children had higher handgrip strength compared to their South American counterparts but lower strength compared to European and Australian children.
