Livestock integration into soybean systems improves long-term system stability and profits without compromising crop yields

Pedro Arthur de Albuquerque Nunes et al.

Summary: The study found that moderate to light grazing intensities can increase the stability and profitability of the system, but over-intensification or absence of grazing can decrease system stability. Grazing did not affect soybean yields, but reduced the risk of crop failure and financial loss in unfavorable years.

Summary: Integrating maize with palisadegrass and pigeon pea in tropical regions can enhance forage and pasture biomass production, increase nitrogen fertilizer utilization by maize, and promote higher N-15 recovery, improving nitrogen dynamics and efficiency in the soil-plant system.
