Summary: The study found that there was no significant difference in the antioxidant properties of fucoxanthin extracted from microalgae and macroalgae, as well as no statistical influence from extraction conditions except for extraction temperature. Higher extraction temperature produced fucoxanthin with stronger antioxidant properties. The findings suggest potential application of fucoxanthin as an antioxidant, with room for future data updates for more robust comparisons.

Solubility and Stability of Some Pharmaceuticals in Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents-Based Formulations

Natali Rianika Mustafa et al.

Summary: Natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) are a type of solvents made from a mixture of two or more simple natural products, suitable for preparing liquid formulations to dissolve poorly water-soluble drugs. Some NADES selectively dissolve drugs, providing new possibilities for the development of parenteral and tube feeding administration of non-water-soluble medicines. Further studies are needed to investigate the chemical stability and bioavailability of drugs in NADES.
