Exoproteome Perspective on the Bile Stress Response of Lactobacillus johnsonii

Summary: The study showed that Lactobacillus johnsonii undergoes metabolic adaptation and cell wall modifications under bile stress, with certain proteins significantly upregulated in response to this pressure. These findings suggest a leading role of certain proteins in the collective bile stress response of L. johnsonii from its exoproteome perspective.
