A Synergic Potential of Antimicrobial Peptides against Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae

Nuno Mariz-Ponte et al.

Summary: Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa) is the pathogen responsible for bacterial canker of kiwifruit, causing significant production losses. Despite the lack of effective treatments for this disease, this study found that BP100 and CA-M have strong inhibitory and bactericidal effects against Psa, with peptide 3.1 showing faster membrane permeation. Additionally, the mixture of AMPs BP100:3.1 demonstrated high efficiency in reducing Psa viability at low concentrations.

Rational Optimization of 1,2,3-Triazole-Tailored Carbazoles As Prospective Antibacterial Alternatives with Significant In Vivo Control Efficiency and Unique Mode of Action

Xing Huang et al.

Summary: The study developed 1,2,3-triazole-tailored carbazoles that showed good efficacy in controlling rice bacterial blight and Pseudomonas syringae pv actinidiae infections. The addition of auxiliaries enhanced the wetting ability of the antibacterial compounds on plant leaves, improving control effectiveness.

3-Decalinoyltetramic acids from kiwi-associated fungus Zopfiella sp. and their antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas syringae

Xue-Wen Yi et al.

Summary: Four rare 3-decalinoyltetramic acid derivatives, zofielliamides A-D, were isolated from cultures of kiwi-associated fungus Zopfiella sp. Their structures and absolute configurations were determined by spectroscopic methods and single crystal X-ray diffraction. These compounds exhibited antibacterial activity against plant pathogen Pseudomonas syringae, with MIC values ranging from 32 to 64 μg/mL.
