Summary: The study successfully revealed a complete biosynthetic pathway to momilactones by conducting gene screening in Nicotiana benthamiana and significantly increasing their production yield. In addition to validating the inhibitory activity of momilactones, similar success was achieved in the production of other compounds by applying the same approach.
