Teager energy spectral kurtosis of wavelet packet transform and its application in locating the sound source of fault bearing of belt conveyor

Xiong Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, a frequency domain statistical index called Teager energy spectral kurtosis (TESK) was proposed to easily capture the resonance frequency band of fault characteristics in sound signals of bearing well and the position of fault sound source can be located through simulated and experimental analysis, further combining with generalized cross-correlation post-processing.

Infrared Thermography-Based Fault Diagnosis of Induction Motor Bearings Using Machine Learning

Anurag Choudhary et al.

Summary: The study proposed a method based on 2D-DWT infrared thermography for diagnosing bearing faults in induction motors. By using PCA and MD methods to extract and rank the most relevant features, SVM was employed for fault classification. The results showed that this method performed well in identifying bearing faults.

A Local Extended Algorithm Combined with Degree and Clustering Coefficient to Optimize Overlapping Community Detection

Jing Liu et al.

Summary: A seed selection algorithm based on fusion degree and clustering coefficient is proposed in this study, which calculates weight values through the entropy weight method to optimize community results. Experimental results show that the algorithm achieves better community partitioning results than other state-of-the-art algorithms.

Longitudinal tear detection method of conveyor belt based on audio-visual fusion

Jian Che et al.

Summary: A new method named audio-visual fusion (AVF) detection method is proposed for detecting conveyor belt damage, which collects images and sounds of the conveyor belt using visible light CCD and a microphone array. By processing and analyzing the collected data, image and sound features of normal, tear and scratch can be extracted and classified with high accuracy. The AVF method overcomes limitations of visual detection condition and improves the accuracy and reliability of conveyor belt tear detection compared to existing methods.

Thermal Imaging Study to Determine the Operational Condition of a Conveyor Belt Drive System Structure

Dawid Szurgacz et al.

Summary: This study used a thermal imaging camera to determine the thermal condition of a conveyor power unit, aiming to detect failures for early maintenance and eliminate the possibility of fires. The non-contact measuring technique offers significant advantages in underground mines, allowing analysis of thermograms by comparing temperature distribution to determine the causes of thermal conditions.

Field measurement of contact forces on rollers for a large diameter pipe conveyor

E. Bombasaro et al.

Summary: An intensive field measurement was conducted to assess the force acting on the rollers for a large diameter pipe conveyor. Data obtained from measuring the forces on the rollers were analyzed and compared with values from a six-point stiffness testing device. The study also derived the participation factor of the material load on the roller forces for a single roller.
