Solution-processed TiO2 blocking layers in printed carbon-based perovskite solar cells

Summary: This study focuses on the preparation and optimization of a thin and faultless compact sol-gel blocking layer, and its application in printed C-PSCs. The addition of 0.06 M TiCl4 into TiAcAc precursor resulted in the highest efficiency of 7.8% achieved by the solar cells. The functional layers of printed C-PSC were characterized using various techniques and correlations were found between the blocking layer conductivity, nano-roughness, optical band gap and the solar cell efficiency.
