A soft template approach to various porous nanostructures from conjugated carbazole-based monomers

Caroline Fradin et al.

Summary: The research explores the importance of controlling the size and shape of nanostructures on surfaces, as well as the formation of nanostructured surfaces using templateless electropolymerization. Experimental results demonstrate that the amount of water and the molecular structure of the carbazole monomers play crucial roles in determining the shape of nanostructures on surfaces, leading to a variety of morphologies.

Micellar formation by soft template electropolymerization in organic solvents

Caroline Fradin et al.

Summary: This study proposes a method of soft templating using self-assembly of conducting monomers in organic solvents to form porous nanotubular structures. Results show that NaphDOT is capable of forming vertically aligned nanotubes, and the size of micelles in the polymerization solution correlates with the inner diameter of the nanotubes formed.

Investigation of electrochemical oxidative coupling of 3 and 6 substituted carbazoles

Abdeslam Et Taouil et al.

Summary: The electrochemical behavior of different functionalized carbazoles was studied using classical cyclic voltammetry, computational calculations, electrochemical simulations, and fast cyclic voltammetry. The presence of ethyl, tert-butyl, and phenyl groups in carbazoles affected the rate of dimerization of radical cations and their electrochemical polymerization. Theoretical calculations using DFT method were consistent with experimental results, providing further insights into the reactivity of carbazoles.
