A novel S-scheme 1D/2D Bi2S3/g-C3N4 heterojunctions with enhanced H2 evolution activity

Bin Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, a Bi2S3/g-C3N4 heterostructure with exceptional photocatalytic activity for H-2 evolution under visible light illumination was successfully synthesized. The hybrid material showed excellent stability and recyclability, with a significant enhancement in performance compared to pure g-C3N4. The results suggest that the direct S-scheme mechanism facilitates the separation and utilization of charge carriers, leading to improved photocatalytic performance.
