The prognosis of aortic root aneurysm in Marfan syndrome patients was greatly improved with the introduction of valve-preserving surgery(VPS). However, this surgery poses lifelong risks of thromboembolism and hemorrhage, which can complicate further aortic surgeries.
Aortic root aneurysm in patients with Marfan syndrome was gery. The prognosis was improved drastically with the introduction of composite replacement of valve and root. Such an operation, however, exposes the patients to the lifelong risks of thromboembolism and hemorrhage, which can create additional problems if further aortic surgery is needed. Thus, the treatment of root aneurysm in this patient population was apparently revolutionized by the introduction of valve-preserving surgery (VPS), namely valve reimcenters, with good stability and low incidence of valveways good, with an increased probability of valve failure VPS, a prospective study was planned and initiated, hoping to generate objective information.
