Low-Dimensional Metal Halide Perovskite Photodetectors

Hsin-Ping Wang et al.

Summary: Metal halide perovskites (MHPs) have gained popularity in research due to their ease of synthesis, excellent optical and optoelectronic properties, and high efficiency in corresponding devices. Low-dimensional MHPs have attracted significant interest, with a focus on synthesis, properties, and photodetection applications. Recent advances and strategies for improving performance and stability in perovskite photodetectors are discussed with a perspective on future developments.

Defect Suppression in Oriented 2D Perovskite Solar Cells with Efficiency over 18% via Rerouting Crystallization Pathway

Yi Yang et al.

Summary: A new crystallization pathway (RCP) is reported to suppress defects in vertically oriented 2D perovskite films, leading to highly homogeneous and stable films with improved optoelectronic properties. By controlling the adsorption of additives on crystal planes, large grains are encouraged to form, ultimately enhancing the performance of solar cells.

Chiral 2D-Perovskite Nanowires for Stokes Photodetectors

Yingjie Zhao et al.

Summary: High-performance Stokes-parameter photodetectors are realized based on solution-processed chiral-perovskite nanowire arrays, which exhibit responsive circularly polarized light and large polarized ratio to linearly polarized light due to chiral ammonium cations and strictly aligned nanowires. The detectors demonstrate promising applications towards polarization imaging with their small footprint and high performance.

Thermally Assisted Rashba Splitting and Circular Photogalvanic Effect in Aqueously Synthesized 2D Dion-Jacobson Perovskite Crystals

Boxuan Zhou et al.

Summary: Through temperature- and polarization-dependent photoluminescence spectroscopy, we clarified that the giant Rashba effect originates from structural distortion, with valley polarization still preserved at high temperatures. The Rashba effect was further confirmed by the circular photogalvanic effect near the indirect bandgap.
