Impedance spectroscopic study of charge transport and relaxation mechanism in MnCr2O4 ceramic chromite

Muhammad Javed et al.

Summary: In this study, MnCr2O4 ceramic oxide was synthesized using a sol-gel method, showing a normal spinel structure. Complex impedance spectroscopy was used to investigate the relaxation times and thermal activation of charge carriers, while an equivalent circuit model was used to analyze the electrical response of the material. The study also highlighted the importance of grains in the conduction mechanism.

Summary: Co-doped ZnO nanowires with different Co concentrations were successfully synthesized using a hydrothermal method at low temperature. Various techniques were employed to analyze the samples, confirming the structural and magnetic properties of the nanowires. The experimental findings were further validated through density functional theory calculations, revealing the ferromagnetic nature of the Co-doped ZnO system.

Dielectric relaxation and small polaron hopping transport in sol-gel-derived NiCr2O4 spinel chromite

Muhammad Javed et al.

Summary: NiCr2O4 chromite was synthesized by the sol-gel auto-combustion route, exhibiting single-phase formation and semiconductor nature confirmed by X-ray diffraction. The Nyquist plot showed the effects of grain and grain boundary on the electrical response of the compound. Experimental AC conductivity data followed Jonscher's double power-law behavior, and complex modulus analysis revealed non-Debye behavior.

Dielectric relaxation and variable range hopping conduction in sol-gel auto combustion derived La0.7Bi0.3Fe0.5Mn0.5O3 manganite

Rehana Bilkees et al.

Summary: In this study, polycrystalline La0.7Bi0.3Fe0.5Mn0.5O3 maganite was synthesized using sol-gel auto-combustion method. The material exhibited highly resistive grain boundaries and comparatively conducting grains, with a temperature independent dynamic process in electro-active regions. Analysis of impedance data revealed physical parameters associated with grains and grain boundaries, as well as dispersion in dielectric properties attributed to space charge polarization. The electrical conductivity followed Mott's T1/4 law and showed a frequency-dependent behavior consistent with variable-range hopping conduction.

Investigation on Non-Debye type relaxation and polaronic conduction mechanism in ZnCr2O4 ternary spinel oxide

Muhammad Javed et al.

Summary: The ternary spinel chromite ZnCr2O4 was synthesized using the sol-gel auto-combustion method and its dielectric relaxation and transport behavior were studied in detail through complex impedance spectroscopy. Two relaxation processes were observed in the material, with non-overlapping small polaron tunneling identified as the dominant electrical transport mechanism. The AC conductivity followed Jonscher power law and the DC conductivity obeyed Mott and Davis law. Discussions were made on the frequency and temperature dependence of dielectric constant and loss factor.
