Highly Stable and Spectrally Tunable Gamma Phase RbxCs1-xPbI3 Gradient-Alloyed Quantum Dots in PMMA Matrix through A Sites Engineering

Fei Li et al.

Summary: Perovskite quantum dots have emerged as new functional materials for display applications, with the issue of red wall obstruction being successfully addressed through the fabrication of alloyed quantum dots. The photoluminescence emission wavelength of the quantum dots can be tuned effectively, and they exhibit high quantum yields and good stability in aging tests. When integrated into LCD backlights, they achieve a color space of approximately 130% of the NTSC 1931 standard with a matching rate of 100%.

Ligand-engineered bandgap stability in mixed-halide perovskite LEDs

Yasser Hassan et al.

Summary: By utilizing multidentate ligands to treat mixed-halide perovskite nanocrystals, efficient and color-stable red electroluminescence with a wavelength centered at 620 nanometers and an external quantum efficiency of 20.3% has been achieved. The key function of the ligand treatment is to 'clean' the nanocrystal surface by removing lead atoms, which suppresses the formation of iodine Frenkel defects and halide segregation. This work demonstrates the sensitivity of metal halide perovskites to surface properties and provides a pathway to control surface defect formation and migration, crucial for achieving bandgap stability for light emission and potentially impacting other optoelectronic applications.

Suppression of temperature quenching in perovskite nanocrystals for efficient and thermally stable light-emitting diodes

Mingming Liu et al.

Summary: Fluoride-treated CsPbBr3 nanocrystals exhibit near unity emission efficiency at temperatures up to 373 K, with constant decay kinetics. The treatment leads to surfaces rich in fluorine with wider energy gaps than the core, suppressing carrier trapping and improving thermal stability. Devices incorporating these nanocrystals show low turn-on voltage and high external quantum efficiency, with nearly 80% efficiency maintained at high temperatures, offering a promising pathway for high-performance light-emitting diodes based on perovskite nanostructures.

Electroluminescence Principle and Performance Improvement of Metal Halide Perovskite Light-Emitting Diodes

Aqiang Liu et al.

Summary: Metal halide perovskites have shown promise for high-definition displays due to their narrowband emission and high efficiency, but face challenges in stability, efficiency, and luminance in pure-blue and pure-red light-emitting devices. Understanding photoluminescence effects and addressing bottlenecks is key to overcoming these obstacles.
