Novel synthesis, structure characterization, DFT and investigation of the optical properties of cyanine dye/zinc oxide [4-CHMQI/ZnO]C nanocomposite thin film

Summary: A new nanostructured thin film of (E)-4-(4-carboxy-3-hydroxystyryl)-1-methylquinolin-1-ium iodide doped with zinc oxide nanoparticles was used to study its optical properties. Characterization techniques including FT-IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, XRD, SEM were used, showing increased dielectric constant and optical conductivity with higher zinc oxide nanoparticles content. The study utilized molecular simulation software to optimize the novel cyanine dye and nanocomposite, with results matching experimental data, indicating potential for optoelectronics and solar cell applications.
