Thermo-economic performance and sensitivity analysis of ternary hybrid nanofluids

Zihao Xuan et al.

Summary: The study experimentally investigated the thermi-economic performance of Al2O3-TiO2-Cu/water ternary hybrid nanofluid, finding that the optimum nanoparticle mixture ratio was 40:40:20 with highest thermal conductivity and lowest viscosity. Ternary hybrid nanofluids show strong potential for industrial heat transfer applications.

Interfacial molecular layering enhances specific heat of nanofluids: Evidence from molecular dynamics

Ivan Carrillo-Berdugo et al.

Summary: The significant enhancement of specific heat in nanofluids by nanoparticles is mainly attributed to the strong chemisorption interaction of fluid molecules at the nanoparticle surfaces. This insight provides sufficient understanding for nanofluid research and promotes the application of nanofluids in energy conversion and thermal management processes.

Thermophysical profile of ethylene glycol based nanofluids containing two types of carbon black nanoparticles with different specific surface areas

Jolanta Sobczak et al.

Summary: This study summarizes the experimental results on the thermophysical and electrical properties of ethylene glycol based nanofluids containing carbon black nanoparticles. The specific surface area was found to have a significant influence on the fundamental properties of nanofluids developed with carbon nanoparticles, with the enhancement of electrical conductivity being one of the highest reported in the literature.

Preparation, characterization, and viscosity studding the single-walled carbon nanotube nanofluids

V. Ya Rudyak et al.

Summary: This study experimentally investigated the rheology and viscosity of nanofluids containing SWCNT, showing that the fluid index decreased and the consistency factor increased with increasing concentration of SWCNT. The viscosity of the nanofluids depended on the effective size of SWCNTs, and they exhibited viscoelastic properties due to the formation of a solid spatial lattice of nanotubes.

The molecular dynamics study of aluminum nanoparticles effect on the atomic behavior of argon atoms inside zigzag nanochannel

Rashad A. R. Bantan et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of aluminum nanoparticles on the atomic behavior of argon fluid inside a zigzag nanochannel using Molecular Dynamics simulation. The results show that the addition of aluminum nanoparticles increases the density, velocity, and temperature profiles of the argon fluid, effectively optimizing its performance for heat/mass transfer applications. It is concluded that the presence of aluminum nanoparticles alters the atomic behavior of the base fluid in non-ideal nanochannels.
