Retinoic acid core-shell lipoplexes for the treatment of colorectal cancer

Summary: The use of retinoic acid in cancer treatment is limited by rapid decrease in plasma concentration, low aqueous solubility, and topical irritation. This study focused on formulating lipid-complexed with DNA to enhance the delivery of retinoic acid in colorectal cancer cells. Lipoplexes showed promising results for site-specific action in cancer treatment.
