A spontaneous interfacial process to produce silica Janus nanosheets as perfect emulsifiers in pickering emulsions

Alireza Zamanian-Fard et al.

Summary: In this study, Janus nanosheets were synthesized at the oil/water interface through a spontaneous process, with the assistance of acidic/alkali catalysts. The solidification of melted paraffin trapped the formed nanosheets at the interface, allowing for their reuse. The unique structure of the Janus nanosheets, with amine groups on one side and ethoxy groups on the other side, makes them effective solid emulsifiers in Pickering emulsions.

Direct and reverse desymmetrization process in O/W Pickering emulsions to produce hollow graphene oxide Janus micro/nano-particles

Esmail Sharifzadeh et al.

Summary: This study synthesized hollow graphene oxide Janus (HGOJ) micro/nano-particles using direct and reverse desymmetrization processes. Different sizes of hollow graphene oxide particles were produced, and the Janus characteristics were tailored onto the surface of micro/nano stabilizing particles through a surface modification process in O/W Pickering emulsions.

Temperature-affected mechanical properties of polymer nanocomposites from glassy-state to glass transition temperature

Summary: The study found that increasing nanoparticle content increases the thermal conduction coefficients of the polymer/particle interphase region and the entire system while decreasing the interphase thickness, leading to more significant negative effects of temperature on the mechanical properties of the nanocomposites.
