Hydrogen production via water-gas shift reaction over gold supported on Ni-based layered double hydroxides

Summary: Partial replacement of Ni by Mg resulted in moderate activity of NiMgAl and Au/NiMgAl catalysts than NiAl analogues due to smaller Ni amount that could not supply sufficient number catalystically active sites, higher thermal stability leading to the creation of the active Ni species at higher temperatures, and partial regeneration of the layered structure with the assistance of small Au particles, Mg, and the reaction medium as well.

An investigation on the N2O decomposition activity of MnxCo1-xCo2O4 nanorods prepared by the thermal decomposition of their oxalate precursors

Summary: This study aimed to develop new spinel-oxide catalysts using a microwave-assisted co-precipitation method, with Mn0.75Co0.25Co2O4 catalyst showing the best performance. Doping with K ions at optimal concentration further enhanced the activity of the catalyst. The presence of contaminants in the reactor feed had different inhibitory effects on the performance of the K0.025Mn0.75Co0.25Co2O4 catalyst, with the inhibitory order being O-2 < H2O < NO < O-2 + H2O < O-2 + H2O + NO.

Core and dopant effects toward hydrogen gas sensing activity using Pd@N-CeO2 core-shell nanoflatforms

Hydrogen production by ammonia decomposition over ruthenium supported on SiC catalyst

Summary: The study investigates the impact of catalyst preparation conditions on hydrogen production from ammonia decomposition. It is found that Ru dispersion and metallic particle size significantly affect catalytic activity. Calcination in a nitrogen atmosphere enhances catalytic activity, and lower reduction temperatures lead to more active ruthenium particles. Maximum intrinsic activity is achieved with Ru particle size around 5 nm under specific conditions.

Mesoporous Rh nanoparticles as efficient electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction

The MRNs exhibit lower overpotential, smaller Tafel slope, enhanced exchange current density, and excellent stability, attributed to their uniform mesoporous morphology and robust structure.
