Retrieval of energy spectra for all flavours of neutrinos from core-collapse supernova with multiple detectors

Summary: This study presents a new method for retrieving energy spectra of all flavors of neutrinos from core-collapse supernovae using observed data without assuming analytic formulas. By employing three independent reaction channels and conducting joint analysis, precise energy spectra of all neutrino flavors at the source can be obtained.

On the rate of core collapse supernovae in the milky way

Supernova neutrino burst detection with the deep underground neutrino experiment

Summary: The DUNE experiment, a 40-kton underground liquid argon time projection chamber, will be sensitive to the electron-neutrino flavor component of the burst of neutrinos expected from the next Galactic core-collapse supernova. This observation will provide unique insight into the astrophysics of core collapse as well as into the properties of neutrinos. The general capabilities of DUNE for neutrino detection in the relevant few- to few-tens-of-MeV neutrino energy range will be described, with a focus on constraining the nu(e) spectral parameters of the neutrino burst.
