Torsions of N-methylpyrrole and its cation

Alexander R. Davies et al.

Summary: The torsional levels in N-methylpyrrole were investigated in different electronic states using 2D-LIF and ZEKE spectroscopy, revealing the Rydberg nature of the S-1 state and consistent torsional potentials with calculated geometries. The adiabatic ionization energy of N-methylpyrrole was determined to be 64250 +/- 5 cm(-1).

Vibrations of pyrrole, N-substituted pyrroles, and their cations

Alexander R. Davies et al.

Summary: The vibrations of pyrrole and its various derivatives were studied, revealing that some vibrations are highly sensitive to the mass of the substituent, with mixings stabilizing at a mass of 14 mu. A consistent numbering scheme was proposed, and calculated vibrational wavenumbers were compared to experimental results.

Electronic, vibrational, and torsional couplings in N-methylpyrrole: Ground, first excited, and cation states

Alexander R. Davies et al.

Summary: The electronic spectrum of N-methylpyrrole was investigated using various spectroscopic techniques and quantum chemical calculations, revealing vibrational-electronic interactions between the S-1 state and other excited states, as well as vibrational, vibration-torsion, and torsional levels in those states.
