Coherent Raman scattering microscopy: capable solution in search of a larger audience

Hadamard-transform spectral acquisition with an acousto-optic tunable filter in a broadband stimulated Raman scattering microscope

Summary: In this study, a novel configuration for high spectral resolution multiplexing acquisition based on the Hadamard transform in SRS microscopy is presented. The AOTF generates spectral masks given by the Hadamard matrix, allowing seamless and automated operation in the Raman fingerprint and CH-stretch regions. Spectral measurements using the multiplexed method show the same signal-to-noise ratio as conventional single-wavenumber acquisitions performed with 4 times longer integration time.

Summary: Researchers have achieved high efficiency and sensitivity in dual-comb coherent Raman spectroscopy by using a quasi-dual-comb source and two-color interferometry, enabling a record high spectral acquisition rate of 100,000 spectra per second with even higher sensitivity than conventional slower dual-comb coherent Raman spectroscopy.
